I'd assumed that the wheel was invented somewhere in the ancient Near East. I think the archaeologist is right, though, that multiple cultures invented the wheel at the same time.

Uno de los logros más importantes de la Mesopotamia fue la invención de la rueda por primera vez en la historia, y desde ahí se transmitió este invento a todo el mundo.

En la imagen superior vemos ruedas hechas de bronce que datan del año 705 a. C. durante el reinado del rey asirio Sargón II, y son las mismas ruedas que vemos en el mural en la imagen inferior.

Se encontró en Khorsabad, Irak. Actualmente ubicado en el Instituto Oriental de la Universidad de Chicago, América.

One of the most important achievements of Mesopotamia was the invention of the wheel for the first time in history, and from there this invention was transmitted to the whole world.

In the image above we see wheels made of bronze dating from the year 705 B.C. during the reign of the Assyrian king Sargon II, and they are the same wheels that we see in the mural in the image below.

It was found in Khorsabad, Iraq. Currently located at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, America.

So the funny thing about Moghedien x Nynaeve is that we can all joke about it and know that it isn’t really in the books seriously and all that but…

There IS a moment after Moghedien has gotten away from Nynaeve where she is thinking about Nynaeve and gets herself mad and calls Nynaeve a “light skirt” which is basically calling her a slut, right?

And you can think, “yeah there was one whole part in the circus where everyone thought Nynaeve was flirting with everyone” but actually Moghedien wasn’t around for that. She didn’t even know where Nynaeve was when that was going down and only found her after she left the circus

And then Nynaeve has her “I’m gonna fuck Lan seven times a day” arc but also Moghedien wasn’t around for that either. She was gone before that went down. Her being gone is actually why that was able to go down.

So why would Moghedien call Nynaeve a light skirt? Like in what world was Nynaeve acting like a slut and a tease around Moghedien unless Moghedien actually thought Nynaeve was teasing her? Who else could Nynaeve have possibly even unintentionally been flirty with in front of Moghedien? Like literally who could it have been? Why does Moghedien think this?

Headcanon to no particular purpose:

Editorial cartoons exist in the world of Girl Genius (we know newspapers do).

The Parisian newspaper cartoonists universally represent Gil as a wolf and Tarvek as a fox. Agatha is a lioness.

If they have more space for details, the imagery becomes winged wolf (control of the skies), crowned fox (authority and royalty), and lioness with a broken trilobite collar (power unchained).

why cant they just...make a show just right in the middle of DMC again like 2007 anime? I get that Netflix DMC is taking inspo from DMC3 and whatnot but it looks like they're gonna be just doing their own thing. Im only one episode in but it looks like having certain characters like Enzo and whatnot in their original roles but then have Lady as a cop? (sry i could be wrong bc im 1 episode deep sry sry sry)

but idk as a long time fan I would LOVE a show that is just not really so much an introduction or some AU but a continuation (and obvious the stories would be new but not the universe?)

like 2007 DMC the animation is set between DMC 1 and DMC2 and does a main plot with monster of the week and all that. Why not just do that again but like...right after DMC3 leading up to DMC1? or DMC4 to DMC5? I personally would LOVE to see an exploration of that vs just an adaption/retelling/etc

this isn't a hate post i havent seen enough of the Netflix DMC to form a total opinion but just something i was thinking about. Something for the already fans. And for any new comers just go play the games or watch some lets plays.
